Entries are now being received for the fifth Taste of Gloucestershire Food and Farming Awards, organised by The Gloucestershire Echo and The Gloucester Citizen.
This annual competition recognises and celebrates local produce and the hospitality businesses that serve it.

The Young Foodie category recognises young entrepreneurs who have made a significant impact on the local food industry. They can be bloggers, vloggers, employees within food businesses, farmers or young people who have set up their own enterprises.
The Butcher of the Year will be looking to find a shop that plays a key role in the community and has a wide range of local produce, along with staff who are friendly and knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile for customers.
Awards are also available for The Food and Drink Business of the Year; The Outstanding Contribution to Food and Farming in Gloucestershire, sponsored by Three Counties; Best Eating Out Establishment, sponsored by bottlegreen; Local Food Retailer of the Year; Best Independent Café, sponsored by Cotteswold Dairy; Best Community Pub, sponsored by Cheltenham Racecourse; Farmer of the Year, sponsored by Willans LLP; Best Local Producer sponsored by CREED The Foodservice Company; Chef of the Year; Young Farmer of the Year, sponsored by the Royal Agricultural University.
